Rosalia
Rosalia Vila (aka Rosalia) is an Spanish pop and flamenco singer. When she was a teenager, she has worked in both the traditional and popular music. But, her musical interests have expanded to encompass soul and hip-hop. Her voice is described by no less a talent than flamenco guitarist Pepe Habichuela as sharp and sweet but with a bite like the old ones. El Mal Querer gained her notoriety and commercial success after her first album Los Angeles was released in 2017. This album won it the Latin Grammy Award for Best New Artist. The single La Fama featuring the Weeknd came out in 2021. Motomami included songwriting collaborations with numerous artists such as Cory Henry, James Blake and others. The album was released in the month of March 2022, following an Saturday Night Live performance featuring the song Chicken Teriyaki. Rosalia was the first Spanish singer who performed solo in the program. Along with taking home three more Latin Grammy Awards for Motomami Rosalia also became the first female to be awarded the Latin Album of the Year twice.
